Longevity of life is the greatest achievement of developments of 20th Century medical science. But alas! Longevity, though good is riddled with physical, mental, economic and social problems, which can be quite severe. We care Senior Citizens with love, affection & dignity. There is a sound therapeutic & palliative care back-up to take care of aging and elderly patients during their convalescence or recovery period.
We are working towards the improvement in quality of life of senior citizens who are ambulatory, bedridden or terminally ill as well as those patients who cannot be looked after at home. Jeevan Suraksha hospice has a pleasant & healthy environment. A place where the inmates are cared for 24/7, Our emphasis is on their general hygiene, hydration, nutrition, skin care, prevention of bedsores,, pain alleviation, maintaining record of intake, out put & vitals along with regular physiotherapy, counseling, recreational activities, necessary medication, bedside procedures & investigations.
We have SHORT TERM & LONG TERM Residential Programs.
As age advances, the senses like vision, hearing & reflexes become weak,there is a marked tendency to fall or meet with a domestic accident.
We provide support in their everyday routine activities in order to prevent accidents at home like falling at night or in the washroom thereby increasing their confidence.

Many elderly patients come to our center from home or hospital in a terminal or a vegetative state. The patient being totally dependent on the care giver, we have to maintain & continue their hydration, nutrition, oxygen saturation, bedside procedures, required medication & investigations.
We manage a Rehabilitation program for them, which varies for every patient as per their condition. Many of them show recovery resulting in the patient going home.

Some of our inmates are homeless, nor do they have adequate financial support. In such cases we approach our donors for help, but there are times when we are disappointed & helpless, because we cannot provide help.
Hence we request you to contribute towards our upcoming Jeevan Suraksha Project, where 50% capacity will be reserved for economically weaker sections. This will be a great help to those, who contributed towards society when they were young & able.

BEFORE: Shri, Jayprakash Malu, Aged 60 yrs was with critical care hospital in very critical condition for about 25 days after a fatal accident.On 22nd November, 2016 he was brought to Jeevan Suraksha he was in semi-conscious state with tracheotomy tube, Ryle’s tube, oxygen support, frequent suction requirement to maintain his oxygen saturation level in blood, urine catheter, saline, etc.
AFTER: Finally the new day came, when Jeevan Suraksha called all his relatives and all children of Mr. Malu’s family. Mr. Malu was very happy to see all of them, and he recognized almost everyone. We were astonished with his recalling capacity and expressing his emotions. Read complete story

BEFORE: Mrs. VATSALA ACHKARPOHARE 74 year old lady discharged from a private hospital went home but she was in a total bedridden condition with tracheotomy tube in her wind pipe, feeding tube in her nose, urine catheter, oxygen support with big bedsores on her buttock, passing stool in diaper.
AFTER: At Jeevan Suraksha in a span of two months rehabilitation we could remove all tubes from Mrs. Vatsala, she started accepting liquid feed orally, communicating with people & dressing herself. Nursing healed her bedsore totally. In another two months she started walking on her own, playing indoor games, watching TV.

BEFORE: Mrs. Kamlabai Gaidhane [name changed] 80 year old lady admitted to Jeevan Suraksha in a very serious condition, where she was unconscious with tubes like tracheotomy, urine catheter, Ryle’s tube, oxygen, IV line in her body. She had a large bedsore on her back at the time of admission.
AFTER: Jeevan Suraksha’s rehabilitation program for kamlabai resulted in her gradual improvement in level of consciousness and now presently she is out of all tubes in her body, taking her feed by mouth, our staff regularly takes her on wheel chair.

BEFORE: Shobha Kukde [Name Changed] 89 yrs lady staying alone in east Nagpur was brought to Jeevan Suraksha.
AFTER: After proper hydration, nutrition and hygiene one can see a Great SMILE on her face, within 24 hrs. She had no disease, only dementia which was also relived to large extent with the rehabilitation program.

You can adopt one patient’s bed, and sponsoring the expenses for the bed ranging from a period of min. 2 weeks up to any time period, as per the wish of the sponsor.
You can donate items required by us, sponsor equipmnets, medical supplies, help in construction of our new center and/or finance our new project.
Jeevan Suraksha Charitable Society of South Asia is running an Old Age Home & Rehabilitation Center for the bedridden, terminally ill and ambulatory people since the year 2010. It has provided specialized health care to more than 500 inmates residing at our facility, so far.
PHC at HOME is our unit of patients health care at HOME, which is already in function for last 06 yrs. Your continuous support is our inspiration to do the best for social cause.
