Jeevan Suraksha Charitable Society was founded in 2010 with a single purpose — to care for elderly, chronically ill, and terminally ill individuals with compassion, dignity, and holistic support. For more than 14 years, our 32-bedded Geriatric Hospice & Palliative Care Centre at Ramdaspeth, Nagpur has served as a sanctuary for mobile, semi-bedridden and bedridden elders, cancer patients, stroke and paralysis survivors, dementia and Alzheimer's patients, and terminally ill individuals needing pain-free living.
Our interdisciplinary team — doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, caregivers, counselors, and social workers — works day and night to ensure every resident receives clinical stability, emotional comfort, spiritual peace, personalized nutrition, rehabilitative support, companionship and engagement. We believe that every human being deserves love, respect, and dignified care — whether independent or dependent.

Building upon our 14-year legacy, we are developing the Central India Institute of Geriatric Hospice & Palliative Rehab (CIIGHPR) — a 115-bedded centre that will expand our current capabilities to meet the growing elderly population needs of Nagpur and Vidarbha. This is not a replacement for our current 32-bed centre — it is an expansion of our service reach and impact.

The Vision Behind Jeevan Suraksha
Dr. Shyam Narsinghdas Laddha — Founder Director of Jeevan Suraksha and of Jeevan Raksha, a life-saving training institute established in 1999. A Life Support Provider (UK) with nearly 40 years of medical experience, including over 20 years in neurology, he has combined clinical precision with humanitarian compassion to build one of India's most respected eldercare institutions.
He has personally trained over 3,00,000 individuals in CPR and life-saving techniques through 6,500+ workshops, in partnership with the Indian Red Cross Society.
